Key takeaways
- One quote can cover several jobs. Each job still needs a line.
- FeedbackPulse quotes can cover engagement and reviews. They are not an HRIS quote.
- They are not an employer of record quote, and they are not a learning quote.
- I compare the line items with the guides before I compare vendors.
Sellers bundle. The quote arrives as a platform, a suite, or a “people OS.” I write the buying job in the margin: engagement, performance, HRIS, employer of record, or learning. Then I see whether the line items match.
The lines I want on the quote
- EngagementSurveys, anonymity, cadence
- PerformanceCycles, 360, goals, 1:1s
- HRISThe employee record, payroll if it is in scope
- Employer of recordThey employ the person, in that country
- LearningCourses and completion
A quote that only says “HR platform” gets sent back. I want the module names. The guides are engagement, performance, HRIS, employer of record, and learning.
What a FeedbackPulse quote can cover
For a growing company I expect surveys and reviews to be explainable from the public pages, with Pro and Max distinguished. Goals and chat integrations are Max. I do not let a quote imply an HRIS, an employer of record, or a learning catalog. The free plan for up to 10 people is not the quote a company of 80 should be signing.
What a suite quote must split
HiBob, BambooHR, and Rippling can appear on an HRIS quote. Lattice, Leapsome, and Culture Amp can appear on a performance quote. Deel, Remote, and Oyster can appear on an employer of record quote. A learning quote should name 360Learning or Docebo or whoever the page supports, not a review tool with a content tab. I wrote that boundary in a learning system is not a review form.
Compare jobs, then vendors
I put the quotes in a grid by job before I put the vendors in a column. Otherwise the bundle with the most modules looks cheaper per adjective. Implementation and the account floor still sit outside the license line. Those are in hidden costs.
